SPF record generator
Tick the services that send email for your domain, and copy the record. It runs in your browser: nothing is sent anywhere.
Your SPF record
- Type
- TXT
- Host
- @ (your domain itself)
v=spf1 include:_spf.google.com ~all
- A domain has one SPF record. If yours already has one, merge these parts into it rather than adding a second.
- Add it at your DNS host (where the domain is managed), then check it with the free SPF checker.
What it checks
What makes a good SPF record
Keep it valid
- One record per domain
- Merge everything into a single v=spf1 record; two records break SPF.
- Ten lookups at most
- Each include: costs DNS lookups. Remove services you no longer send with.
- End with ~all
- Soft fail is the safe default; -all only once every sender is listed.
FAQ
Questions, answered
Where do I add the record?+
At your DNS host, where your domain is managed (often your registrar, such as Namecheap or GoDaddy, or Cloudflare). Add a TXT record with the host @ and the value from this page.
Do I list SendPath?+
No. SendPath sends from your own mailboxes, so the record lists your email provider (and any sending service you connect), not SendPath.
How do I check it worked?+
DNS changes can take a while to appear. Then run the free SPF checker on your domain.
