Email DNS record generator
Build your SPF and DMARC records: pick your settings and copy the record. It runs in your browser: nothing is sent anywhere.
Your SPF record
- Type
- TXT
- Host
- @ (your domain itself)
v=spf1 include:_spf.google.com ~all
- A domain has one SPF record. If yours already has one, merge these parts into it rather than adding a second.
- Add it at your DNS host (where the domain is managed), then check it with the free SPF checker.
What it checks
What makes good SPF and DMARC records
SPF
- One record per domain
- Merge everything into a single v=spf1 record; two records break SPF.
- Ends with ~all
- Soft fail is the safe default; -all only once every sender is listed.
DMARC
- Start at p=none
- Nothing is blocked while reports show who sends as your domain.
- Then tighten
- Quarantine, then reject, once every real sender passes.
FAQ
Questions, answered
Where do I add these records?+
At your DNS host, where your domain is managed. SPF is a TXT record at @ (the domain itself); DMARC is a TXT record at _dmarc.
What about DKIM?+
Your email provider creates the DKIM key and tells you the record to add, so there's nothing to generate here. Check it afterwards with the free domain check.
Is anything sent to SendPath?+
No. The generator runs in your browser: nothing you type is sent or saved.
