Legal
Acceptable use policy
Effective October 9, 2026
SendPath is for honest, relevant outreach to people and businesses you have a lawful reason to contact. This policy is part of our Terms of service and applies to everything sent through mailboxes connected to SendPath. It protects recipients, your own domains and reputation, and every other customer.
1. What every sender must do
- Only email people you have a lawful basis to contact: consent, an existing relationship, or a legitimate business interest where the law in the recipient's country allows it.
- Send from a mailbox and domain you own or are authorised to use, and identify yourself and your business honestly.
- Include your valid postal address and keep the unsubscribe link working. SendPath adds both checks before anything sends and suppresses unsubscribes automatically; don't try to work around them.
- Keep your lists clean: verify addresses, remove bounces, and respect every opt-out, whether it comes through the link, a reply, or any other channel.
- Follow the laws that apply to you and your recipients, including CAN-SPAM, GDPR and the ePrivacy rules, and CASL.
2. Lists you may not use
- Purchased, rented, shared or traded lists, unless you can show a lawful basis for every address on them.
- Addresses scraped or harvested from websites, directories or social networks without that lawful basis.
- Lists of people who have opted out of your email elsewhere, or suppression lists used as sending lists.
- Role and distribution addresses (such as info@ or all-staff@) used to reach people who never opted in, where the law or the recipient's policy forbids it.
3. Content you may not send
- Phishing, malware, or links meant to steal credentials or information.
- Deceptive or misleading content: false sender names, forged headers, misleading subject lines, or impersonating another person or company.
- Anything illegal where you or the recipient are, including illegal goods and services, and content that infringes someone else's rights.
- Scams and high-risk offers: get-rich-quick schemes, pyramid or multi-level marketing recruitment, fake investment or crypto offers, debt relief and credit repair, and payday loans.
- Adult content, and gambling, pharmaceutical, weapons or drug promotion.
- Harassing, hateful, threatening or defamatory content.
4. Using the platform
- Don't try to bypass the pre-send checks, plan limits, sending windows or daily caps, for example by splitting one workspace's sending across several accounts.
- Don't connect mailboxes you aren't authorised to use.
- Only put mailboxes you actually send from into warm-up, and don't tamper with warm-up emails other members' mailboxes send yours (for example by marking them as spam or forwarding them).
- Don't resell or share access to SendPath without our written agreement.
- Don't probe, attack, overload or reverse engineer the service, or access other customers' data.
5. Sending health
High bounce or complaint rates harm recipients and your domains. SendPath tracks bounces for every sender: a sender above 2% needs attention, and above 5% is blocked from sending until its list is cleaned. We may also pause sending when we see spam complaints, spam-trap hits or blocklistings linked to your mailboxes.
6. Enforcement
If we believe this policy has been broken, we may pause campaigns, block a sender, set a workspace to read-only, or suspend or close the account, and where the law requires it we may report illegal activity. Where practical we will tell you and give you a chance to fix the problem first. Serious or repeated violations can lead to closure without notice and without refund.
7. Reporting abuse
If you received unwanted or abusive email sent with SendPath, use its unsubscribe link, and report it to abuse@sendpath.ai with the message (including its headers if you can). We review every report.
