SPF checker
Type a domain to see its SPF record: who may send email for it, and whether receivers can trust that list. The same check SendPath runs on every mailbox you connect.
One run checks SPF, DKIM, DMARC and MX together.
What it checks
What the SPF check looks at
It must pass
- An SPF record exists
- A TXT record at the domain itself that starts with v=spf1.
- Only one SPF record
- Two or more is an error: receivers can't tell which one to use.
- It ends safely
- An ~all or -all at the end (or a redirect). +all would let anyone send as the domain.
FAQ
Questions, answered
What is an SPF record?+
A TXT record that lists which services may send email for your domain, such as Google Workspace or Microsoft 365. Receivers use it to spot mail that only pretends to be from you.
My domain has two SPF records. What now?+
Merge them into one: keep a single v=spf1 record with every include: from both, ending in ~all. The free SPF record generator builds one for you.
Is the check stored anywhere?+
No. It looks up public DNS records and shows the answer. Nothing you type is saved.
