DMARC checker
Type a domain to see its DMARC record: what receivers should do with mail that fails SPF and DKIM. The same check SendPath runs on every mailbox you connect.
One run checks SPF, DKIM, DMARC and MX together.
What it checks
What the DMARC check looks at
It must pass
- A DMARC record exists
- A TXT record at _dmarc.yourdomain.com that starts with v=DMARC1.
- It has a policy
- A p= tag: none, quarantine or reject.
Worth knowing
- p=none passes
- Monitoring only: nothing is blocked. It's the right start, and inbox providers expect at least that.
FAQ
Questions, answered
Do I need DMARC to send outreach email?+
Gmail and Yahoo ask bulk senders for one, and a domain without it looks less trustworthy. Start with p=none: it only reports and never blocks your mail.
Which policy should I use?+
Start with p=none. Once the reports show every service that sends for you passes SPF or DKIM, move to quarantine, then reject. The free DMARC record generator explains each one.
Is the check stored anywhere?+
No. It looks up public DNS records and shows the answer. Nothing you type is saved.
