SendPathBot
Effective October 17, 2026
SendPathBot is SendPath's web crawler. It identifies itself as SendPathBot/1.0 (+https://sendpath.ai/bot).
It reads a few public pages about a company, so SendPath customers can see what that company does and whether it's hiring. It runs only when a customer asks for it, never as a crawl of the web at large.
1. What it fetches
- A company's homepage, and its
/about(or/about-us) page, to describe what the company does in one line. - Its
/careersand/jobspages, only to find a link to its public job board. - That job board, when the company's own site links to one on Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby or Workable, to count its open roles by department. A board is never guessed from a company's name.
- A SendPath customer's own website, once, when they give it to us at sign-up or ask SendPath AI to import it.
2. How it behaves
- On a company's own website it reads
robots.txtfirst and follows the rules forSendPathBot, or the rules for*when there are none for it. Arobots.txtthat answers 401 or 403 means it stays out. The rules are kept for a day. - At most one request a second to any host.
- HTTPS only, public addresses only, and only the start of each page.
- Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby and Workable are read through their public job-listing APIs, which they publish for programs to read, at the same pace.
3. Company information only
SendPathBot reads what a company publishes about itself. What SendPath keeps is company information: a one-line description, and how many roles are open in which departments.
It doesn't look for or keep people's names, email addresses, phone numbers or social profiles.
4. How to opt out
To keep SendPathBot off your website, add this to your robots.txt:
User-agent: SendPathBot Disallow: /
To stop every SendPath lookup for your domain, add it at verifier.sendpath.ai. That covers this crawler, contact enrichment and the mailbox check: SendPath then looks up no one at your domain or under it.
